Question: When is the best time to get into summer-book-reading mode? :)
Answer: When a pile of medical textbooks lie right in front of you, flipped open yet untouched and another pile of storybooks lie right beside your bed.
Currently wanting to read:
Essential old-school chick lit. Because Elizabeth Bennett kicks ass. Been wanting to re-read this novel from a more mature grown-up perspective ever since I skimmed through it during high school.
A perennial favourite amongst medical students and doctors and non-medics. Mr Gawande's reflective narrative vignettes make my Harrold Ellis surgical lecture-note series pale and bland in comparison!
A guyish philosophical book that questions the rules of society. Similar themes found in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and George Orwell's 1984. Will get down to reading it.....someday
Currently in the midst of:
Nothing too spectacular. 2/5 stars. Note to readers: borrow don't buy.
Interesting insight from a professor at Carnegie Mellon who died of pancreatic cancer. Worth a read.
Interestingly enough, my dad bought this for me 10 years ago, but I left it sitting on my bookshelf to collect dust because the cover didn't look too appealing. Have decided to give it a second chance.Books I'm forbidden to touch (for now!):

Stephanie meyer's series soon to be released into theatres this Oct. Not the best time to be addicted to another trilogy/series!
